Our
Story

LawPrep Academy was built on a belief that preparation should teach you skills that matter beyond the test itself.

Rhiannon Procktor graduated from Oxford and Assas, had been tutoring privately for over five years, and was wholeheartedly disillusioned with how companies were preparing students for the LNAT.

Actual offerings were opaque, many had no 'core curriculum' and required tutors to invent their own, and often focused on 'learning for the exam' at the expense of teaching students how to develop the skills needed to succeed in the overall admissions process.

So she built a specialist service, started to bring in tutors who share the same ethos, and created something that does more than just "here's how to pass the exam." LawPrep Academy teaches you how to think like a lawyer. Because that's what is actually being tested in admissions, and what prepares you for later life.

Hello!

My name is Rhiannon

I went through the UK law admissions process myself, completing two bachelor degrees in four years at Oxford and Paris Panthéon-Assas. I know how stressful this process can be from the inside.

I also know what it's like to need help getting there.
I benefited enormously from scholarships and from the family and teachers who supported me when it mattered.

That's part of why I do this work. I love my subject, and I love teaching. I started tutoring when I was in secondary school and never stopped. But four years ago, I made the choice to specialise completely in the LNAT and UK law admissions, and I have since developed a teaching approach that students consistently tell me has benefited them in far more than just their university admissions.

Why I'm Obsessive About This

Here's what makes me slightly unusual as an LNAT tutor: I'm also a published author, a legal researcher, and a podcast host interviewing experts in neurotechnology from around the globe.

signed my first book contract with Springer Publishing when I was twenty, making me one of the youngest people to have a sole-authored academic text with a major publisher. I speak at universities and think tanks internationally about AI regulation and digital rights. My research focuses on emerging technology, human rights, and the gaps that appear when law can't keep up with innovation.

You might wonder what any of that has to do with teaching seventeen-year-olds how to prepare for law admissions.

Everything, actually.

The skills I use every day, from reading critically, writing under pressure, constructing legal arguments that hold up under scrutiny, and spotting assumptions in complex texts, are exactly the skills the LNAT tests. I'm not teaching from one experience of the test six years ago, or conducting mock interviews without ever having spoken (and debated!) with university professors; I'm drawing on what I do every day.

My research makes me a better teacher. And teaching makes me a better researcher. I don't separate the two.

“I was very pleased to hear after the first lesson that my child had enjoyed the class. As the classes progressed, I could tell she looks up to you and respected you as her tutor, mentor and the career choices you have made so far. Thank you again for believing in her and giving her the confidence she needed to tackle LNAT and university options."

"I learned a great deal from our sessions, not just for applications but in how I think and approach problems more generally, and that’s something I’ll be taking with me wherever I go next."

If You're Still Reading...

You're probably still trying to decide whether my teaching method is right for you.

Here's my honest answer: maybe.

If you want to understand why an answer is right, not just memorise it, then you'll like working with me.

If you're willing to be challenged, to do the work yourself (I guide, you write), and to receive honest feedback, then you'll get a lot out of this.

If you want someone to promise you a place or tell you that you're brilliant when you're not there yet, we're probably not a good fit.

And if you're not sure what you need, book a free 15-minute consultation. You can ask questions, I'll tell you what I think would help, and if that's not us, I'll tell you that too.
